An example of this may be the lobby of a doctor’s office. What voids the Allure Flooring warranty? Generally speaking, not following any portion of the installation instructions voids the warranty. That is one of the reasons why it is so important to read the installation instructions in the owner’s manual provided with your Allure flooring. That being said here are a few of the most common ways that customers void their Allure flooring warranty: – Installing Allure flooring in an environment with an uncontrolled temperature (i.e., outside on a deck, in an unheated cottage, porches, patios, decks, RVs, campers, trailers of any kind, non-climate controlled cabins, etc. Allure flooring is intended for indoor, climate-controlled environments only. You must also acclimate the product in the room of installation for a minimum of 48 hours at a temperature between 65°F to 85°F. Also, avoid exposure to direct sunlight for prolonged periods of time as this may damage your floor. Use shades or blinds if the room gets long periods of direct sunlight. – Using a steam cleaner. The heat will damage your floor and may cause seam separation. Do not use steam cleaners on your Allure floor. – Waxing your floor. The wax will not penetrate the vinyl and will just sit on top of your floor, eventuality yellowing. – Installing Allure on stairs. Allure flooring is not warrantied for stairs or any vertical surface. It cannot be glued to the walls of your home. – Installing Allure on an uneven surface. The floor flatness tolerance is 3/16″ of an inch over 10′. – Installing Allure on top of any carpet, foam or spongy padding. This voids the warranty. – Attaching Allure to the subfloor. Allure is a floating floor, which means it cannot be glued, nailed or attached any other way to the subfloor. Again, in general, anything that you do that does not align with what is written in your owners/installation manual will void the warranty. So be sure to read and follow the instructions in your manual!
